Phrasal Verbs
- Calm down: if you calm down or if someones calms you down you become less angry,upset or excited
- Cheer up: when something cheer you up, you stop feeling depressed and become more cheerful
- Chill out: chill out things are intented to help you relax after you have done something tiring.
- Face up to: see face
- Open up: if someone opens up they start to say what they think or feel about something.
- Slow down: if someone slows down or it something slows them, they become less active
- Work out: if you work out, you do physical exercises in order to make your body fit and strong
- Cut down: reduce the amount you take something.
- Grumpy: if you say that someone is grumpy , you mean that they are bad-tempered and miserable
- Sleepy: if you are sleepy , you are very tired and are almost asleep
- Cheerful: someone who is cheerful is happy and joyful and shows this in their behaviour.
- Anxious: if you are anxious , you are nervous or worried about something.
